There's nothing better than getting together with friends and quilting. So, let me be your host for three days/two nights. I'll make sure your time is spent quilting…or relaxing…or both.
If you'd like to have Heidi come and talk with your quilt group, check out the list of talks and classes below. Then contact Heidi at heidi@heidikaisand.com for pricing.
Quilt Talks

My Quilt Top is Done--Now What? Lecture length: 1-1 1/2 hours We're surrounded with thousands of pieces of fabric and as many patterns to use them in. But, why is it so hard to decide how to finish our projects? Through this inspiring presentation, I'll provide you with five ways to get those tops turned into useable quilts. You'll see specific examples, including 20 quilts in person. Have a project you don't know how to finish? Bring it along and I will select a few to discuss in front of the group.
My Family Jewels
Lecture length: 1-1 1/2 hours
Learn how my grandmother Maurine Moore set me on a course for a life filled with quilting--both personally and professionally. This heart-warming presentation will bring alive the rich quilting history and creativity in my family, showcasing the 165 quilts that Maurine made for her family. A dozen of Maurine's quilts will be shown in person. I will walk you through my own quilt making experiences, including my 14-year career as editor of American Patchwork & Quilting magazine.
Lecture length: 1-1 1/2hours
Is this a Collection? Or just a habit?

What constitutes a collection? Do I own a fabric collection? In this humorous presentation, I'll share my many collections from fabric to John Deere Tractors and everything in between.

I'm Addicted to Wool!
Class length: 4 hours
Skill Level: Beginner

Don't be afraid, it's ok to mix cotton and wool in a quilt. I'll teach you the differences between felt and wool, and how different textures can enhance your projects. In the process I'll provide you with complete step-by-step instructions for a charming quilt that can be made small enough for a baby or big enough for snuggling under in front of the fireplace. You can choose either a version completed on the machine, or one that includes both machine and hand work. Project kits will be available.
